Adventure is Out There!
Hi there, and welcome to my website, I'm so glad you decided to stop by. On this website I plan to feature my thoughts and pictures of my travels. Whether it's a segment of my Grand Tour of Europe, a winter escape to the Caribbean, or an adventure closer to home I love to travel and experience new things.
My usual travel companion is my husband Marty. Together we have expeienced a number activities I never dreamed of doing; flying in a float plane over an ice field in Alaska, snorkeling inside the crater of an extinct volcano in Hawaii, and swimming with dolphins, stingrays, sea lions, sea turtles, and of course fish all over the Caribbean. And the food! We do like to try some of the local dishes wherever we may be. I've eaten Jerk Chicken in Jamacia, Blueberry ale & pie in Maine, Conch in Key West and the Bahamas, various types of Bratwurst in Germany, and Haggis in Scotland. As we venture further from the USA I am sure we will have the opportunity to try even more delicious dishes.
We have used planes, trains, and automobiles to get to our destinations, but our favorite way to travel is by cruise ship. I love that I unpack just once, and someone else is doing the driving. We have done over 20 cruises ranging from a river boat that held 180 passengers, to a cruise ship that held 3700, and all sizes in-between. Each had their pluses and drawbacks, but they all had something to offer.
When asked “What was your favorite trip?” I usually reply “The one I’m currently planning.”
Just a quick overview of my site. Most of my write ups are from my reviews of cruises that were originally published on the web site Cruise Critic. However, many have been edited from the original. I try not to put too many photos from one trip for easier viewing, using just a fraction of what I took that hopefully gives a feel of my experience.
